This maintains the first person narrative by showing Clare’s inability to understand Gaelic. This idea was suggested by producer David Brown, who said he had seen something similar in Skin Deep (1998), a foreign alternative film starring actor and singer Gustavo Goular. ; An American term that did not come into use until the 19th century.

The theme song changes from season to season to reflect what is happening in the storyline

In the first half of Season 2 (which takes place in France), some of the texts are in French. In the second half of Season 2 (which is mostly about preparing for war), a militaristic drum is added to the opening song. During Season 3, tribal drums were added as much of the season is set in the West Indies.

Bluegrass fiddle and banjo are added in Season 4, plus some of the lyrics are sung in a Southern accent, as the season is mostly set in America. I’ve never read the Outlander books, so I really didn’t know what to expect.

I devoured the entire series and loved it!

At first I thought it was a women only show but I was very wrong. This show has something for everyone and I’m glad I finally gave it a chance because it has become one of my favorite shows!
