When his bloodthirsty impulses can no longer be ignored, young Dexter Morgan must learn to channel his inner darkness as he transitions from apprentice to vengeful serial killer under the guidance of his father, Harry. Christian Slater is older than James Remar was when Dexter (2006) first aired. It is followed by Dexter: Resurrection (2025).
Sure, I liked it
I watched the original “Dexter” series, every season, I admit, I hated it, and more than once. I watched “New Blood” and found it okay. Like many other fans, I found the Freudian ending, well, stupid.
This prequel is much better so far, in my opinion
Maybe it’s familiar characters, I like that they’re all back and the series doesn’t fall too far short of what we’ve come to expect in that regard. Right down to Deb’s swearing and Masuka’s signature laugh. No, I’m not giving away spoilers to say that.
Can’t wait for the rest of the episodes!
If you’re reading this review, you’ve already watched the trailers multiple times and had this date on your calendar. For me, the show gained momentum as it went on. One Hundred Years of Solitude is one of the biggest TV and streaming premieres of this month.
